CANNIBAL CORPSE: Australia, New Zealand Dates Announced

Florida-based death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE will embark on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in September. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Sep. 07 - Transmisson Room - Auckland, New Zealand (Lic / AA)
Sep. 08 - The Bedford - Christchurch, New Zealand (Lic / AA)
Sep. 10 - Capitol - Perth, Australia (18+)
Sep. 11 - Fowlers Live - Adelaide, Australia (Lic / AA)
Sep. 12 - The Roundhouse - Sydney, Australia (Lic / AA)
Sep. 13 - The HiFi, Brisbane - Brisbane, Australia (18+)
Sep. 15 - Billboard The Venue - Melbourne, Australia (18+)

Tickets go on sale this Thursday, May 7.

CANNIBAL CORPSE will embark on the European Plague Tour in the fall. Direct support will come from DYING FETUS.

On the mainland, the package will be completed by EVOCATION and OBSCURA, while TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED and ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY will support the bands in the U.K.

CANNIBAL CORPSE has confirmed its first Japanese tour in support of the band's new album, "Evisceration Plague". They will headline the Extreme the Dojo Vol. 22 tour with support from THE FACELESS and MISERY INDEX.

"Evisceration Plague" sold 9,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. This is more than 50 percent higher than the opening tally of the band's previous CD, "Kill" (2006),which landed at No. 170 after shifting more than 6,000 copies. In 1996, CANIBAL CORPSE's "Vile" premiered at No. 151, with more than 6,100 copies sold.
